There are many ways that you can help and support Breakthrough. You can hold an event and the scope of this is only limited by your time and imagination!! We have come across some wonderful fundraising ideas – from coffee mornings to diamond Balls, from midnight walks to afternoon tea parties. We are on hand to help and support you with ideas, fundraising materials such as Breakthrough balloons, leaflets and handouts, pink pins and trolley tokens!
You can also donate money straight to Breakthrough – either via the main website or through the Shropshire Group. Some people make a one-off donation, others choose to give a regular monthly sum. Breakthough is also fortunate that people choose to leave a legacy in their will which is wonderful. Some people give to Breakthrough when they celebrate an event – perhaps a wedding, birthday or anniversary – they ask for donations to Breakthrough instead of gifts at an occasion.
You can also give of your time – we are always very grateful to people who come along and support our fundraising events whether it’s with catering, or marshalling, or selling pink pins, it’s all very welocme help.
Breakthrough also have their Campaign and Advocacy Network and this is for people who wish to campaign on issues surrounding breast cancer – whether it’s to improve local facilities and resources or to lobby your local MP for Government strategy, it’s a very important and significant part of the work that Breakthrough do. It increases pprople’s awareness of breast cancer and helps improve lives.
